Avoiding the duck plague

Far too many waters where fish are willing to take floating crust baits are occupied by hordes of ducks used to begging bread from passing families.

You don't want these to take an interest in your baits.

So dye your breadcrust green (food dye) and ducks'll ignore it unless they practically bump into it but the fish aren't fazed.

Be discreet. try to hide your activities from the ducks for as long as possible. If you overdo it they will discover your deception and the tactic will no longer work on that water until the ducks have had at least a year to forget about it.
