The net, and usenet newsgroups in particular, has become a great resource for fishy information (Yes, pun intended) and I've been discussing angling on-line since I got internet access at home in 1996. If you know where to look you can even find the odd post lying around on Fidonet from ten years before that.

It's in the nature of usenet that topics and questions recur and I was repeating myself — Now; I'm lazy and I'd rather be fishing so I've collected some of those usenet posts here together with some magazine articles for which I retain the electronic copyright, to use as a resource to which I can refer enquirers.

I'll fish for nearly anything, anywhere. Salmon with a fly or a prawn, trout or roach with bread, chub or mackerel with a fly, bass or perch with a plug...

This odd brace were taken on the same tackle, right down to the hook — one on the way home from catching the other.

Fish of all types, at sea or in freshwater, react in very similar ways. This site is not organised in the traditional coarse sea and game divisions but instead addresses the methods that work (for me) when seeking any fish.

...please read these pages with an open mind. I hope I can show that a great deal of the myth and mystery surrounding modern angling is just that - myth. If you are prepared to experiment and to test dogma you will find plenty of ideas here.
